BEAD CAPS ARE ENGRAVED AS PER THE CUSTOMER INPUT. OBVIOUS SPELLING MISTAKES ARE USUALLY SPOTTED BUT IT IS THE CUSTOMER'S RESPONSIBILITY. REQUESTS TO ADD TO OR CHANGE THE ENGRAVING UNLESS MADE IMMEDIATELY AT THE TIME OF ORDER OR, IF OUTSIDE NORMAL WORKING HOURS NOTIFIED BY EMAIL BY 9AM THE NEXT DAY (INCLUDING WEEKENDS) IT WILL BE TOO LATE. THIS IS A FAST TURNAROUND SERVICE. THE CAPS ARE ENGRAVED PRIOR TO BEAD MANUFACTURE. ENGRAVING REQUESTS ARE ONLY ACCEPTED BY EMAIL OR VIA THE ORDER PAGE TO AVOID ANY DISPUTES. MISTAKES MADE ON THE CUSTOMERS PART CANNOT BE RECTIFIED. If you decide to cancel and the engraving has already been done then a charge of £10 will be deducted from your refund and your personalised silver caps will be posted to you.
PayPal is the only payment method accepted.
Ash packs are sent by standard first class letter post after an order is placed and paid for. They contain labelled double bags, scoop, card backed return addressed large letter with first class standard post. If you wish to upgrade the post from this you need to do this at your post office.
Ashes under 50g in weight are allowed in the post by Royal Mail.
The finished beads are sent first class recorded delivery (Signed For). If you require Special Delivery Guaranteed this is charged at cost. Postage labels are printed directly from the customer's own input at checkout. If you input your address incorrectly and consequently do not receive your return pack a charge of £3 will be made to send another. Incorrect postcodes and non-machine readable postcodes can cause delays of up to two weeks as these letters have to be hand sorted. Please note red message at top of each advert stating you must ensure your address is correctly inputted. Labels are printed directly from your information. Postcodes should be capital letters and in two parts.
In the extremely unlikely event of loss in post (reference numbers are always available on request) a full refund will be made. You must allow the time stated by Royal Mail for the item to be considered lost before any refund is made. If upon on checking your address hasn't been inputted correctly, a two week window will be set before a refund is made as this is the average time it takes for hand sorting and delivery due to customer mistakes.
The reference number will be monitored to check the item has not been subsequently delivered. If it has, a PayPal invoice will be sent for payment by return.
NO ADDITIONAL COMPENSATION IS OFFERED FOR LOST ITEMS OTHER THAN THE PURCHASE PRICE.
If you are worried about loss in the post then Special Delivery Guaranteed is the option you MUST pay for as that service is fully tracked and is only charged at cost difference. The price is £4.39 extra as this is the cost of Special Delivery Guaranteed by 1pm (£6.50) minus the £2.11 already included in the standard Signed For service.
First Class Signed For is proof of postage and proof of delivery - not tracked.
First Class is not a guaranteed next day service.
Royal Mail figures are 75% next day and an item is not considered late until 5 working days after the date of postage. Please bear this in mind if you have a date you need the finished item by.
The vast majority of orders are turned around in a few days. If the customer has a deadline to meet e.g for a birthday then the ashes must be received three working days before the deadline. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure this. There is no same day making service available due to the kiln cycle the beads go through taking approx 5 hours unless you arrange prior and return the ashes pre-9am Special Delivery. Do not rely on normal post for this.
Items are guaranteed for 12 months from the date of delivery. Items are not guaranteed against misuse or mistreatment / damage. If you wish to return an item within the 12 month period please message using the contact button. Do not wear these items whilst swimming. This is standard for sterling silver jewellery. The glass is annealed in the kiln to toughen it. Beads will not be accepted for return that have been chipped or broken or had the caps damaged due to misuse- e.g forcing too many beads onto a bracelet particularly the screw thread type and thus crushing the end caps flat. This will cause loosening of the cap due to the decreased cap height having the effect of elongating the silver liner. A charge will be made to re-tighten or replace the caps if this is the case. The end caps do not flatten or deform during normal wear.
Photographs are requested prior to returns being accepted to confirm the reason for return is not down to misuse.
CARE AND TIME IS PUT INTO EACH ITEM MADE,
THE PICTURES ON THE SITE ARE A CLOSE INDICATION OF WHAT YOU WILL RECEIVE BUT PLEASE REMEMBER EVERY HANDMADE ITEM IS UNIQUE. BUBBLES ARE NOT A DEFECT AND ARE RELEASED FROM THE ASHES DURING THE HEATING PROCESS. THERE WILL BE MINOR SIZE DIFFERENCES (+/- 1-2 MILLIMETRES) AS THE BEADS ARE NOT MADE IN A PRESS BY A MACHINE THEY ARE HANDMADE.
THE ASHES ARE SET IN AS RECEIVED AND CAN HAVE VARYING COLOURS - BLACK, BROWN ETC ASIDE FROM THE PREDOMINANT PALE GREY COLOUR.
Colours may vary due to different viewing devices but you will receive the colour you order. Obviously the ashes show best on the darker glass backgrounds due to their pale colour. - please see different examples shown on the website. Ashes are always set under a clear glass topping and it is a pinch amount in the bead as per description and photos. Please do not expect more ashes than this to be set into the beads. More ashes reduces the integrity of the glass.
